High quality corundum bricks are products with Al2O3 content over 90%. There are semi-bonded corundum bricks, direct-bonded corundum bricks and dense corundum bricks. Semi-bonded or direct-bonded bricks are produced with fused corundum (or sintered corundum) and calcined alumina as raw materials, Aluminum sulphate or recycled pulp waste is used as binding agent. The bricks are pressed under high pressure and fired under temperature 1750-1800℃. Dense corundum bricks are produced with light burnt alumina powder, dextrin is used as binding agent. Artificial granulation technology is applied to get uniform raw materials, then pressed under high pressure. The dense corundum bricks are also sintered under temperature 1750-1800℃. With high Al2O3 content, low apparent porosity, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and erosion resistance, dense corundum bricks are generally used as working lining of Synthetic ammonia furnace.
Main materials:
1.Brown fused alumina/brown fused corundum: brown fused alumina is made from high alumina bauxite and carbon, fused in electric furnace under temperature 2000 ℃.
2.White fused alumina/White fused corundum : it's made from calcined alumina fused in electric furnace under high temperature.
3.High alumina corundum is made from super quality high alumina bauxite, special smelting furnace is applied with 2500 ℃ high temperature electric furnace.
4.Zirconia corundum : it's made from zirconia and alumina powder in micro particle sizes, products is available after being fused in ultra high temperature electric furnace.
5.Single crystalline corundum: also named 32A fused alumina as grinding material.
6.Micro crystalline corundum: made from high alumina bauxite, it's available after being fused in ultra high temperature in furnace, and then experience rapid temperature decreasing process.
Application of high quality corundum bricks and corundum materials
1.Grinding material: it's used as grinding material or abrasive materials for metal, such as steel, casting iron, hard bronze etc.. Brown fused alumina could also be used as raw material of corundum bricks and castable.
2.Top grade polishing material
3.Mold sand of precision steel casting, blasting sand, gunning mix, chemical catalyst, special ceramic etc.
4.Dry grinding materials, engineering to easy-burnt & easy deforming workpieces
5.The working lining & furniture for various high temperature kilns, furnaces in petrochemical industry, fertilizer industries, metallurgical industries etc.
