Steel flowing brick generally refers to the hollow ware bricks which are built in the groove of the slab for casting ingot, to connect the steel dividing brick and the ingot mold, commonly known as soup brick. Generally, it is a rectangular hollow clay brick with various dimensions. In order to reduce the resistance in the process of molten steel flow and avoid steel leaking, it is required that the inner hole is smooth, the shape is regular, and the joints are tight.
Steel casting bricks are made from fire clay, shale, coal gangue,fly ash etc.. The bricks are dense bricks with low porosity after firing, and dimensions are strictly requested.

Products use
Clay center brick can be used for building maintenance structure, masonry column, arch, chimney, kiln body, ditch and foundation, etc. It can be used with lightweight aggregate concrete, aerated concrete, rock wool and other heat insulation materials to build a lightweight wall with two sides of brick and the middle filled with lightweight materials. Appropriate reinforcement or steel mesh can be arranged in the masonry to form reinforced masonry body, instead of reinforced concrete columns, beams, etc.
How do we improve the strength of steel casting bricks
1.Increase the sintering temperature of the steel casting bricks properly
The test proves that the bricks produced by the same raw materials and the same brick machine have different strength due to different baking temperatures. The test results show that the compressive strength of bricks increases with the increase of tunnel kiln baking temperature.
2. Longer time burning at low temperature is recommended
At present, hollow ware bricks are generally fired under assistance of internal combustion process, and "high temperature short firing" is adopted to improve the output. Performance proves that internal combustion for the bricks under condition "high temperature short firing" firing method can improve the production output, but it has a certain impact on the products. There are sometimes black core, black scar, crack, embossing on the products, and the compressive strength is also reduced. More importantly, it increases coal consumption and results to energy waste, which is bad for environment. Therefore, the method of "low temperature long burning" should be advocated. Under the condition that the internal combustion is about 80%, bricks shall be fired under temperature (650~900) ℃ for not less than 6h ; The interval from 900 ℃ to the end of product sintering shall not be less than 6 hours. In this way, it will take a total of 12 hours for the internal combustion in the center of the green body to be able to fully fired and give full play to all the heat energy.
