Upper nozzle(Stationary nozzle)is located within the tundish lining and conveys steel to the

controlling exchangeable tundish nozzle, which determines the steel flow. The stationary nozzle must be capable of withstanding long sequence times.Our Upper nozzle that incorporates a ultra-high densityLKZN-M or LKZN-H insert. The insert provides excellent erosion resistance and can provide extended casting sequence times.The lower surface of the stationary nozzle is ground to exacting tolerances to ensure maximum surface contact between the two nozzle components.

Lower Nozzle (EXCHANGABLE) is located within an assembly that is fixed to the bottom of the tundish.The design of the exchangeable nozzle can vary according to the system manufacturer.

We supplying a range of zirconia inserts and composite nozzle designs for the exchangeable

metering of steel. Zirconia inserts can be supplied for on-site assembly into metallic holding blocks where cementing, grinding, size banding and on site drying are required prior to use.
 

Ladle collector nozzle is also called lower nozzle, it's part of ladle slide gate set. Ladle slide gate set include ladle well block, upper nozzle/ ladle nozzle, upper slide gate plate, lower slide gate plate and collector nozzle.There is also lower nozzle for exchangeable tundish nozzles.

Lower nozzles are eroded and corroded by molten steel more seriously, so service life is less than upper nozzles. It could be replaced flexibly according to demands.

Function refractories for continuous casting steel is a kind of advanced refractories aimed for clean steel. With function refractories, molten steel flow is better controlled, and could be protected from Oxygen during casting.

Function refractories for steel continuous casting generally include refractories from steel Ladle to Tundish and Tundish to Copper Mould Tube.

Function refractories are generally combined nozzles without binding agent, so the dimension and surface of such refractories are strictly controlled to match each other tightly.
