Refractory Anchors

Refractory Anchors refer to the components used to connect the integral refractory lining, refractory prefabricated parts, refractory fiber blankets, ceramic fiber modules and furnace shell or furnace steel structure. The function of the anchor is to fix the connected lining in a certain position to resist static load, thermal stress, forces from mechanical rotation or vibration. Anchors help prevent materials collapse during application and heating prior to ceramic bond formation and also help to even out shrinkage of the material and avoid formation of large, concentrated cracks in the liner

The types of anchors are divided into metal and non-metal material: metal anchors include anchor supports, thrust pieces, and anchor nails; non-metal anchors include anchor bricks with holes, hanging bricks, and anchor nails for refractory fiber lining .

The special anchor for thermal insulation and decoration integration is mainly used for fixing the thermal insulation integrated boards , increasing the force bearing area of the screw, and making the board and the wall more fixed. Applicable temperature range: 800-1400°C.

The arrangement and spacing of the anchors depend on the shape of the furnace shell or components, the material (density) and thickness of the lining, the temperature and conditions of use (continuous work and intermittent work), and the thermal & mechanical stresses the lining bears. The arrangement of the anchors must be considered to have sufficient support strength without causing long cracks in the refractory material during thermal expansion and contraction.

1. Steel Anchors are structural parts that connect and fix lightweight refractory materials such as ceramic fibers, lightweight insulation bricks, and unshaped refractory materials with the metal wall panels of the kiln.

2. According to the industrial kiln structure, furnace temperature, and ambient atmosphere, anchors with different structures and materials should be selected.

3. Anchors used for refractory materials in the classification temperature range of 800°C-1400°C.
