High alumina refractory cement is calcium aluminate cement, it's also called high alumina cement, refractory cement, calcium alumina cement.
High alumina refractory cement is different from Portland cement, it could not be applied to civil construction. It is made of calcium aluminates instead of calcium silicates. Calcium carbonate and bauxite are the main ingredients. High alumina cement is widely used as binding agent of alumina refractory castable.

First, high alumina refractory cement has excellent heat resistance. It can withstand high temperatures without cracking or losing strength. This is because high alumina refractory cement contains a large amount of aluminate and calcium aluminate compounds. The high melting points of these compounds ensure that the cement can withstand high temperatures.
In addition to heat resistance, high alumina refractory cement also has high corrosion resistance. It is resistant to attack by various chemical agents, making it ideal for use in harsh environments where other types of cement may fail.
Finally, high alumina refractory cement is resistant to thermal shock. Thermal shock occurs when materials are exposed to rapid changes in temperature. High alumina refractory cement can withstand this change without losing its strength or structural integrity.
