Silica refractory bricks is an acid refractory material, with good resistance to acid slag erosion ability, load softening temperature up to 1640 ~ 1670℃, long-term use volume is relatively stable at high temperature.
Silica content above 94%. True density 2.35g/cm3. It is resistant to acid slag. High temperature strength. The initial softening temperature under load is 1620 ~ 1670℃. Long-term use at high temperature without deformation. Low thermal shock stability (heat exchange in water is 1-4 times) natural silica as raw material, plus an appropriate amount of mineralizing agent, in order to promote the conversion of quartz in the billet to squame-quartz. It is slowly fired at 1350 ~ 1430℃ in reducing atmosphere. When heated to 1450℃, the total volume expansion is about 1.5~2.2%. This residual expansion will make the cut joints close and ensure the good air tightness and structural strength of the masonry body.
The mineral facies composition of silica refractory bricks is mainly squamous quartz and quartzite, with a small amount of quartz and vitreous. The thermal stability of silicon brick at low temperature is very poor because the volume of squamous quartz, quartzite and residual quartz changes greatly at low temperature. In the process of use, under 800℃ to slowly heating and cooling, so as not to crack. Therefore, it should not be used in the kiln with temperature changes below 800℃.
The raw material for making silicon refractory bricks is silica. The higher the content of SiO2 in silica raw materials, the higher the refractoriness. The most harmful impurities are Al2O3, K2O, Na2O, etc., which seriously reduce the refractoriness of refractory products. Silica brick with SiO2 content of not less than 96% silica as raw material, adding mineralizing agent (such as iron scale, lime milk) and bonding agent (such as molasses, sulfite pulp waste liquid), after mixing, forming, drying, burning and other processes.
Silica refractory bricks Mainly used for coke oven carbonization chamber and combustion chamber partition wall, steelmaking open hearth regenerator chamber and sediment chamber, soaking furnace, glass furnace refractory materials and ceramic firing kiln and other kiln vault and other bearing parts. It is also used for the high temperature bearing part of hot blast stove and the top of acid open hearth furnace.
